Well, true. Some fans prefer to watch glorified gymnastics with no real meaning behind it except for predetermined victories for a belt, so maybe I shouldn't have worded that in the 2nd person.
But I would much rather have a story behind it all. The E sucking at telling a story doesn't change that base desire.
but to that point, it's not binary, and couldn't a simple storyline itself (In ROH they had an old vet finally win the belt) suffice as opposed to tons of talking and absurd storylines?
But, to answer the question, "the old vet finally wins the belt" isn't enough of a story for me because that's just "the bookers finally decided to give the old vet the belt".
May the better man win with no real heat between the wrestlers/characters works every now and then for me but most of the time I prefer they have a reason to want to fight more than just winning at a "sport".
yes? two ends of the spectrum on a continuum.
and that's fine. I'm curious what your top storylines are though. I forget who it was, but an old writer said something to the extent of there's only 8 possible stories you can tell, you just have to keep them fresh and keep dressing them up in different ways.
No Taker after Mania? :( QQ.
why would there be? If he's retired, he's gone.
I just remember HBK, Flair, etc "retirement" and was just hoping for the same event for Taker. :(
I don't know what it is about Miz Cena and Maryse Bella but I just ROFL anytime they start.
I Wish they'd let Ambrose roam.
Best start to the a Raw in a long time.

Is there anyone left on Smackdown at this point?
Shows you how much I've watched Raw cause of the incessant Stephanie/HHH power trip.
Does KO and Zayn have some illness that requires them to fight each other once a month or else they die? Can WWE not go a couple months without them staring down with each other?
