Oops didnt catch the Catcher part of the subject line before I voted.

Victor Martinez underrated? Was anyone paying attention last year or recently when Cleveland's started making a move? One of the first names, if not the very first, was and is Victor Martinez.

How many times did we hear about how great Michael Barrett was going to be in Montreal? That I dont call being underrated.

Joe Mauer was the #1 pick of the first round in 2001 amatuer draft (info found on Baseball-reference.com), I wouldnt call that really underrated cause hes got to have high expectations to be taken that high.

Greg Zaun eh 260 ba 330 obp nothing to write home about.

Ben Molina and Jason Larue are more underrated than the rest of those guys. When media talks about Cincinnati Reds Jason LaRue isnt even in the top 15 guys to talk about, and Molina has some guy named Vlad who gets most of the spotlight.

I gotta go with the cincy boy though. If possible drop my vote? If not use this as my vote.

i voted jason larue... he may not be underrated on this site though, due to reds fans outnumbering everybody else by a 7-1 ratio.

I don't see how Mauer could be considered here, since he's supposed to be the next great thing at C and some guy on espn.com already marked him down as a future hall of famer. No love for McCann in ATL?

All I want out of a catcher is game calling and good defense. So since Yadier has been hurt and all, that leaves me with his brother, Ben.
