    2012 Mid-season N.L. Cy Young

While the reigning Cy Young doesn't have many wins, he does still have great numbers. But, for now, so do several others. And some have better. One contender recently dropped out after a season ending injury. Another candidate could be shut down in August if everyone sticks to their "guns".

Even though I'm not listing them, props to Chris Capuano's great start. And AJ Burnett's return. And Lance Lynn making people forget Jaime Garcia forgot to show up this season.

I lied, I couldn't resist putting Capuano on there.

Other nods.. the rest of Washington's rotation... Edwin Jackson and Jordan Zimmerman ...are rockin'

The BWAA will no doubt vote based on RA's story along with his stats. I don't mind this.

Love Strausburg, but he doesn't go deep enough into games for me.

Love Gio, only 1 HR given up all year. Opposing batters batting .194 against him.. but just like strausburg. doesnt go deep into games

Big Fan of Cain, the perfect game, the way he does the same year in and year out without the acolades of even his teammates. I'd give it to him if it weren't for...

R.A. Dickey, Really? 11-1 Knuckleball pitcher with an insane 106-24 K:BB ratio! Only 4 less K's than Strausburg. Batters hitting .196 off him, a .91 WHIP.

I think I still would have given it to Beachy if not for the seas ending injury

As of right now, I went with Cain. He has the most IP, lower ERA and WHIP than Dickey and has more strikeouts.

Go figure, James McDonald Cy Young candidate. More proof that everything Colletti touches turns to fucking shit.
