    2012 Mid-season A.L. Cy Young

This is a juicy award right now. Verlander has been good but there's been guys just as good..if not..more...awesomer. Look, we're making awesomer a word right now, deal with it.

It's hard to go wrong with any of these guys.

Hard to beat Sale right now. 8-2 record with a 2.24 ERA 0.96 WHIP and 89-23 K:BB. thats my mid season CY young...

That said, Peavy should win Comeback player of the year in a land slide.

Peavy's teammate Adam Dunn might have something to say about that.

As for the CY, it's Peavy's other teammate Sale.

Depends on how much you Value HRs.

    Peavy, a SP with a modest 6-3 record, 2.74 ERA, 1.25 WHIP

Dunn is still only batting .215 and has K'd 115 times. Yeah he's got 23 HRs and 55 RBI and still walking a ton to bring his OBP to .362... But I think Peavy is better overall..

He hit .159 last season! And has more than double the amount of homeruns than he had last season. He wasn't hurt either.

Well, I'm sure his ego was hurt. >_>

Both have timed bounce backs nicely.

He raised his Avg. from .159 to .215

Peavy Lowered hi ERA from 4.92 to 2.74. in almost the same amount of games. I still think Peavy's is more impressive.

And Dunn raised his OBP from .292 to .362. And raised his SLG from .277 to .530. And raised his OPS againts LHP from .308 to .738 but it's your right to think Peavy is more impressive

And I understand that, as well as its yours to believe that Dunn's is. And to Dunn's credit, its more impressive because he plays day in and day out where Peavy plays once every 5 days.

Peavy used to dominate in the NL...he just hasn't been healthy in a while.

It's good to see him back. I'm surprised Mofo hasn't been reminding Leo of this 24/7

Dunn has always been the low average, high K, high walk, high OBP, high HR/RBI type.

He's come back greatly to what once made him a dangerous hitter.

I was against the trade from the get-go.

Of course, that's never stopped Mofo before.

In fact, he'll no doubt cite some of my optimistic after-the-fact posts as some kind of proof against what I'm saying in this post.
