    2012 Mid-season A.L. Rookie of the Year

Going to get the ball rolling on discussing mid season award front runners. We'll start off with the rookies, which I know talk is dominated by Trout and Harper, for good reason, but we've had some other good performers.

To the American League we go, Robin.

Yu should not be eligible. I know he is, but he should not be. He's not a rookie.

Didn't drafting Randal Grichuck before Mike Trout meant the Angels would've passed on Trout if they didn't happen to have back-to-back picks?

Not necessarily. If I have two draft picks in a row and decide on which two I like am I really going to put much thought into which one I'd take if I only have one pick and draft them in that order?
