MLB Who has more staying power?

The Orioles and Nationals just completed a series, where the Orioles took 2/3. The Nationals struck back with Strasburg's arm...and bat.

As of May 20th, the Nationals are 2nd in the NL East at 24-17, and currently hold a wild card spot. The Orioles are 27-15 and currently lead the AL East.

The Nationals have had to battle through a torrid rash of injuries to their lineup, but remain effective due to the strength of their rotation and solid infield defense. The Orioles have had solid pitching as well, notably the bullpen with Jim Johnson and Pedro Strop, but they have been mashing thanks in part to Adam Jones, Nick Markakis, Matt Wieters, and JJ Hardy.

Which team is likely to remain competitive playoff contender as we get deeper into the regular season? Or..neither?
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?

I chose the Nats because I love their pitching a lot more than the O's plus they will have guys coming back like Werth and Storen.

It's also interesting to think if the season ended today these are the team that would be in the playoffs:
    O's
    Rays
    Jays
    Indians
    Rangers

    Braves
    Nats
    Cards
    Dodgers
    Mets/Miami
