Baseball Slant 2011 1st Half NL MVP

Who do you think is the NL's 1st half MVP? I personally went Andrew McCutchen. No one has been more valuable to their team than McCutchen! The Pirates rank in the bottom half of the NL in Runs and OPS. McCutchen is hitting .291/.390/.505 with 14 HRs, 54 Runs and 54 RBI. He also has 15 SB and plays great defense in CF and is the only player on his team with an OPS over .775. He has been the Pirates offense, a big part of the Pirates success and why I voted him MVP. Who do you have?

I went with Berkman. I feel overall, his stats are best. Without him, where would the Cards be this season?

I was surprised.... Albeit happily surprised..... That Rickie Weeks didn't make the cut.... Good

I went with berkman as well. If not MVP he should win comeback player of the year. If you would have said, pujoils would be struggling, carpenter would start the year out with only 1 win through June, and their opening day closer would be released by the team before the allayed break, would you had guessed they'd be where they are...

Kemp or Reyes. Since I prefer laughing at the Mets, I am going with Kemp. Suck it, Rihanna.

Since Kemp has been playing for a last place team, obviously he has not been that valuable of a player.

My apologies for not putting McCann up there. He definitely belongs in the discussion

The fourth place team is 41-51 and the last place team is 40-52. Bottom line, they both suck. I figure we're going to reclaim last place by the end of the week, anyway.
