Melvin, that's a shocker. He was the National League manager of the year only two years ago.

Firing your manager on the day that ManRam gets busted is a smart move. Let the news fly under the radar and not bring too much attention to the situation while everyone is busy covering the big doping scandal.

Please, the only attention the Dbags have gotten in recent years was the time their fans trashed the field during the NLCS.

I didn't see this one coming. I mean, Brandon Webb has been missing all year long and the Dbacks some key players from last year. Seems a bit unfair but oh miss. Melvin wins...or loses.

Melvin's in a better place now. He doesn't have to watch anymore of his hitters striking out.

Reports are saying Hurdle and Cooper are the next to go and could come as soon as this weekend. Hurdle is getting ****ed over, Cooper not so much. Players are complaining about his communication skills. Hurdle just had the misfortune of having Holliday traded away and Francis being hurt.

Can't you just feel the excitement of the dawning of the Jim Tracy era in Colorado?

"Is the Rockies manager a job that I'm looking forward to? Well, as a coach don't you always look forward to a challenge? How can you back down from one? Will I make changes? Are they necessary? Will they have an effect right away? Maybe? Maybe not? What else can you do? Lose the division? Does anyone in a purple uniform want to see that? Will I ever stop asking myself questions?"
