The Brewers were sliding before CC got there and he rebuilt the ship, and despite pujols's good season the cardinals will still not make the playoffs. I don't think you can honestly say that Milwaukee would be in this situation without the near perfect 12 starts CC has had, he's been unhittable each and every time out and with the pressure of being in a race thats impecable...its easy for pujols to hit with ludwick behind him and no playoff race pressureOriginally Posted by browntown653

Brewers had a five game lead in the WC when Sabathia was traded, the exact same lead they have now over the Cards. Ryan Braun has had more to do with their run than Sabathia's brilliant stay. Pujols hasn't had playoff pressure this season? Its easy to hit with Ludwick behind him? Hilarious!!
Pujols hit a huge 3 run shot as the Cards beat the Cubs tonight.
Delgado had 2 HR sunday night as the Mets beat the Phillies on Sunday, and then 2 more tonight as the Mets outslugged the Nationals to extend their NL East lead to 2.5.
In his last 66 games, Delgado is hitting .300 with 24 HR and 68 RBI. Tell me that's not incredible. If he keeps this up, I'll have to change my vote.
Delgado is definitely becoming my second place MVP vote. He has been amazing!!
Ryan Howard in the MVP discussion at least? He could finish with 50 homeruns and 150 RBI while his team wins the division. 200 strikeouts, yes, but he has been hotter than any player in September.
FYI, there is the Hank Aaron Award, given to the best batter in each league.
It's voted on by fans, but Rolaids Relief is a formula based award created by outsiders...

I agree despite Howards BA, his power numbers are up there, especially this month when Utley has struggled, Howard has carried his team to a possible playoff birth.
