That could be argued either way as well. He could have gotten rusty during the offseason and gotten off to his normal April start or it could help him? Who knows.Quote:

I agree. Either way I think both examples are tough to accomplish and he deserves props for keeping it going.Quote:

Rollins with a double in his first at-bat off Mulder.
38 and counting.
and DiMaggio might've gotten rusty if he had an offseason in the middle of his, that doesn't take away from my point.Quote:

Again, it'd be a commendable feat, but it just wouldn't be the same, at least not to me.
Thirty eight straight!!!!!
Nice job again tonight by Rollins. Keep it going buddy.
BTW, I agree with Leo for the most part. It would be awesome to see him get it. But it would not be the same to me either.
It has been rumored that if Rollins does manage to break the record, that the it would become two seperate records being that Rollins had a offseason in between.
I agree with rrb and Leo, it would be awesome if Rollins were to get the record.
He's 0-4 today and it's not looking good. :(
It's over....
Did he not get a hit today??
No hit.
ah poor guy. Oh well there is always next time
