    Nationals Werth out 12 weeks

Jayson Werth underwent left wrist surgery on Monday and is now expected to miss at least 12 weeks.
The Nationals initially guessed a six-week timetable for Werth after he suffered a broken left wrist on Sunday night. But the injury is actually much worse. It's a tough blow to the Nationals, who are currently in first place in the National League East. Tyler Moore seems likely to take on a more involved role. Oh, and in case this wasn't already established, Bryce Harper is here to stay.
Werth had actually been playing well so this is a big blow to the first place Nationals. Werth was hitting .276/.372/.439 with 3 HR and 12 RBI. Tyler Moore has some raw power hitting 31 HRs in each of the past two seasons in the minors, one in A and the other in AA. Hopefully for the Nats sake Werth can come back with a fully healthy wrist.

    Well, shit.

Guess I'll just drop him. I think this pretty much ensures that Harper is staying up for awhile. What a rash of injuries though. Laroche, Morse, Derosa, Werth, Zimmerman..
