    Nationals Bryce Harper Thread

Bryce Harper had a career day for Single-A Hagerstown on Wednesday, going 4-for-5 with a grand slam.
He also extended his hitting streak to 15 games, during which he's hitting .492. With a cumulative .396/.472/.712 batting line, Harper is matching or exceeding all expectations so far.
I don't think he will be in Single A for too much longer.

I hope he is there a little longer as I am hoping to take a trip up to Hagerstown to see him play. It would have been prime right now because he and Ryan Zimmerman are going to both be there.

Yes it was. This guy is going to be special. With him and Strasburg the future for the Nats looks really good.

Bryce Harper of Washington Nationals blows kiss at opposing pitcher in minors - ESPN

This kid might not make it to the Majors because he might be beaned in the head before he gets a chance. We all knew he was a cocky prick before but I thought being a professional would end some of that but I guess not. Can't believe he wasn't plunked last night.

He makes Brett Lawrie look normal.

But I mean who hasn't taped a 40 to their hands before?

Bryce Harper (hamstring) might be shut down for the rest of the season.
Harper strained his right hamstring Thursday while running the bases in a game at Double-A Harrisburg. It's not a major injury, but the minor league schedule is done in two weeks and the Nats aren't going to push him back. If the 18-year-old outfielder doesn't show progress within the next few days, the decision will be made to end his first professional season.
What a way to end your first year of professional baseball! I hope they don't continue to baby this kid.
