I will kill someone if he signs with ****ing San Francisco. Get it done, New York or Boston. Or Cincinnati, whatever.

I wouldn't mind him coming to the Cubs, but not for 4 years.

Giants aren't going to have a lot of money to spend this offseason so don't worry about it. The Giants big moves are going to be via trade plus Sandoval is likely to move to first next year and Huff will likely get extended. If I am Rizzo, I am re-signing this guy. Nats fans really like him and he seems to be a great fit in this Nats offense.

He'll never come back to Cincy. First off, there's nowhere to play him and secondly, I don't think he and Jocketty get along.

An AL team would make more sense. He is the prototypical DH.

As much as you can sympathize with teams like the Nats being leery to give Dunn a 4 year deal, I don't blame Dunn for seeking it. He signed a two year deal with the Reds, and then the Nats, and in both cases, earned his money. I think he's a great fit in Washington and definitely one of the faces of the franchise, it would be nice if they could settle on a three year deal him to keep him in DC.

Re: Adam Dunn likely headed for free agency

According to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post, impending free agent Adam Dunn now expects to be in Washington next season.
Dunn and Nats management had a bit of a falling out earlier this season over contract extension negotiations, but things are moving in the right direction. "Talks have picked back up," said the slugger. "We'll see what happens. We're obviously talking. We're going to work something out, I think." He has 35 homers, 93 RBI and a .899 OPS through 518 at-bats this season.
Good news. With Strasburg being out for all next season, the Nats need to bring back Dunn. He is a fan favorite and there aren't a lot of first baseman that can produce like he can on the free agent market. Rizzo should get this deal done before the season ends so the Nats fans can relax a little bit. Mike Morse looks like a good right handed option to help spell Dunn so they have that covered too.

Who needs Adam Dunn (or anyone for that matter) when you have Bryce Harper?

The Nationals need any help they can get. Harper, Dunn, The Situation turning into a ball player.

Really though, the nats should sign him to a minimum of 2 years.

I don't see any team giving him four years given his size and age. 2 years with an incentive laden option is what I would do.

Re: Adam Dunn likely headed for free agency

    Agreed.
I think this could be a turning point for the nats. A team that has been a laughing stock of the league, one who people question the direction of the franchise since the move from Montreal. They've built themselves a nice stadium, got some good young players in the system, and appear to be finally turning things around. If they make the proper signing (something similar to what reefer purposed) it's a sign that they haven't made the mistake of overpaying for their players. A big contract, with big dollars could really hurt the recent progress of the team.

Re: Adam Dunn likely headed for free agency

According to Ben Goessling of MASN, the Nationals are hesitant to offer Adam Dunn anything more than a three-year deal.
Thus, he is likely to test the free agent waters this offseason. The Nationals love Dunn's high power potential and his presence in the middle of their batting order, but they are concerned about his long-term defensive ability at first base. "I can tell you the only person in the front office who wants to resign him is the owner," a scout told Goessling on Monday. Dunn should draw interest from a number of power-desperate teams, including the Cubs.
If the Nats are offering three years, Dunn should jump all over it if the price is right. I really can't see smart teams giving him anymore than three years.
