Basketball has come and gone, but baseball remains. On deck for Friday: the Phenom, Stephen Strasburg's third start. This one will be in Washington, against the Chicago White Sox, who happen to be 26th in baseball in team batting average, 22nd in runs scored, but 7th in team home runs. And Strasburg has given up a home run in each of his first two starts (Delwyn Young and Trev Hafner).
However, one positive about the White Sox is that they have struck out the fewest number of times of any team, and it's not even close. White Sox have 317 strikeouts, the next closest is Kansas City with 349. Arizona has by far the most strikeouts with 615 this year (Mark Reynolds 95 already, Justin Upton 88, Adam LaRoche 67, Chris Young 60, Kelly Johnson 59). Yowza.
That being said...
Prediction for Strasburg:
7 innings, 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, 9 strikeouts.
(P.S. Toronto has a MLB-leading 103 home runs. The next closest team? Boston with 87. That's a YOOOGE difference.)
