    Nationals Acting GM Mike Rizzo being blunt

    On the demotion of Daniel Cabrera:

    Acting GM Mike Rizzo was frank: "I was tired of watching him."


    I think we need more GM's in baseball that come out and say what they really think. Props to him, hopefully he gets the full-time gig. I might go watch a game this week just for that.

    That's terrific. Not shocking though, I'd be tired of watching Daniel Cabrera too.

    The bluntness of what Rizzo said pales in comparison to former Expos GM Jim Beattie's "We're not trying to win next year" when Pedro Martinez was on the trade block.
