Roster Dukes out of the lineup because he was five minutes late.

Dukes Scratched For Violating Team Rule
Up here in the press box, we just got word that Elijah Dukes has been scratched from the lineup for violating an undisclosed team rule. The indication is that Dukes was five minutes late for the team's workout today, which prompted the punishment. (Notice the lockdown, post-Milledge.) Manny Acta will address the matter post game, and once we hear more, I'll update.
Seriously, five minutes? Manny Acta is so getting canned.

Yea i love how on the site people are saying he deserves it...how many times in your life have you shown up to a class/work 5 min late due to things outside your control?

Yeah, and we get punished for that, too.

    A punishment?

Getting out of having to face Josh Johnson?

Seems like a blessing to me(even though Johnson wasn't that good today).

"If you're not 15 minutes early, you're late"

That's what I was taught in the Navy.

Granted, the Navy went overboard with it by actually reprimanding people for not being 15 minutes early, but it's still sound advice to go on.

If you try to show up 15 minutes early, at least, you're not going to be late.

I can still count on one hand how many times I've shown up late to work in my life.

And those times that I did I accepted the consequences without complaint.

Late is late. Consequences are consequences. Dukes knows the team rules. Or should.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

This picture cracks me up every time I look at it.

    What a bunch of amateurs.

This wasn't a one time deal. Dukes has been repeatedly late and lets not act like Dukes is a great ballplayer either. I like what Acta did especially firing his whole bullpen. He's not ****ing around even if his players are.

The Air Force does the same thing.

    Most coaches do too.
