    John Lannon

He's today's starting pitcher for the Nats, making his way from Class-A ball all the way up to the bigs this year. But what's exciting for me is he lives about 15/20 minutes away from my town and actually went to my biggest rival high school. My cousin was his catcher at times in a summer league. Does anyone know anything about this guy? Supposedly he's a hard-throwing lefty but I don't know much else.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

First time up and got ejected from his first MLB game ever. What a start for him, huh?

PHILADELPHIA -- Washington's John Lannan was thrown out in his major league debut after hitting Philadelphia's Chase Utley and Ryan Howard in consecutive at-bats in the fifth inning Thursday.

Lannon pitched awfully tremendous against the Giants today...perhaps the future is promising for this guy?

    It's actually spelled Lannan.

But yeah, this guy kinda came out of nowhere. He's really the ace of that staff, as Yankee fans now know.

Does that make Craig Stammen their 2nd ace since he shut out the yankees? O_O

The know-it-alls said the same thing about Dustin Hermanson when he pitched for the Expos. How he'd be a 20 game winner if only he was on a first division team.

Haha. Stammen seems like he could be a decent starter for them too. But he's struggled this year, at least, he did before the Yankee game.

Vlad was supposed to be awesome in a big market too, but he routinely disappears in the postseason. Whoops.

    Re: John Lannon

Vlad still turned out to be a first division All Star. Dustin Hermanson, on the other hand, was so overrated that his trade value dropped to the equivalent of a washed up Fernando Tatis and Britt Reames.
