Baseball Slant (Early) team interest thread..

Just feeling things out. Assuming we go with a real-life roster set, list 3 teams you are considering in order, based on what their rosters will look like going into the 2010 season. Make these lists as if there is nothing locked into place... so in other words, if you want to run a team that was occupied in TPSL and that team is your #1 prefference, go ahead and list them #1 if you want. We can always figure out if the previous GM is keeping that team or not later on... this is just a general feeler to help decode & sort things out now.

Ill take whoever, wouldnt mind AL East with Halladay and General or the AL West with Prov and Porter just to change things up a bit.

If we are only going to do like 24 teams do we want to go back to old school 2 divisions in each league or do like football and balance things with more divisions?

I know that OM had asked me if he could take the Orioles, which is fine by me and I'd prefer he runs them knowing he's about the last O's fan on this board. I'll slot him in as Baltimore for now too.

Nick, in an idea to just fiddle around with OOTP 10, if were not going to keep a full slate of teams whats the playoff options for the old school 2 divisions or would we still keep 3 divisions with just 4 teams each and a wild card as is?

Just an idea. If the league doesnt like it, its fine.

I ought to take LAA just to renew the old original SBSL-style.

If we were to do a league with around 24 members, I think I'd have one "division winner" and one wild card winner from each league (AL & NL)... so 4 teams total. If we fill 30 slots, probably will go with the regular rules & regulations. Just thinking this to myself really.

    I've made my mind up...
    1) Pittsburgh
    2) Washington
    3) Milwaukee

I'll try my darndest to turn one of these first two teams into a winner.
And I am wearing a Brewers hat today so that's why I picked them.

    1) Boston Red Sox
    2) New York Yankees
    3) Philadelphia Phillies

I'm a huge real-life Sox fan, so obviously my #1 option would be them...if not I'd be just as happy to keep the Yanks like I currently have now...Phillies were just kind of a random option #3 for no particular reason...
