Has anyone purchased or played OOTP10 yet?

I have OOTP9 and really enjoy it in my freetime, but am not sure if 10 is worth it (especially since I didn't preorder with their special sale price).

If anyone's tried it, are there any major differences? I'm sure it's got even more stuff in it, but I'm just not sure how much they could've changed/altered/added in a year. I'm finally used to OOTP9, too... so if they completely re-did the design I'll probably wait a little bit to try it. I'll venture over to the ootpboards eventually and read up on it, but if someone has it here, it's a lot easier to go by word of mouth than to sift through those 100 page stickies over there.

Coolio, thanks guys. And porter-- does the price drop in July or anything cool like that? I know they have sales sometimes for holidays.. maybe an independance day sale? Those are always nice.

Im not sure. I just recently bought OOTP 6.51 just incase theres exporting.

Do you know if OOTP6.12 or whatever the version without the little update is free now? If it is, I might open exporting next season, if everyone could try to get the game.

They don't plan to make version 6 free. I read that 6 is still one of their best money makers. So I can't see them doing it any time soon.

Nick, I notice there is a function in the main menu of 9 that allows for importing of 6.12, and 6.5 games. I was wondering if you have ever tried this with one of the old league files, or something, and seeing how it works.

I got 9 a while back, and enjoy playing around with it from time to time. Great way to spend time on the bus when traveling.

Damn, that blows... I was pretty sure I read somewhere legit that OOTP 6, atleast 6.12 anyway, would be free eventually. But I believe you... it doesn't surprise me it's still raking in dough...

As for 10-- how are rosters? Any current ones that are good floating? I can't find any OOTP9 rosters that are more accurate than the ones I was working on back before the season began-- and I never finished them, because I ran out of time. At this point, those are probably really inaccurate too.

Foster-- I have never tried importing the file or old files, although at various points since I've been running this, I've considered moving the league to a more recent OOTP. However, in the conversion, I've read a lot of stuff is lost (like player info and shit like that) and the few OOTP leagues here that weren't ran on 6.5 never did so well. So TPSL will likely always rest in 6.5 surroundings.

It is something intriguing to me, though. I like the new OOTP games and the way they set up... but for our league file, it works nice in OOTP6.5
