It shouldn't. The ratings seem to fluctuate from time to time. I don't really know why. Most every top/good SP is 3.0 stars, though. I don't think there are any SPs above 3.0 in this league. I saw a few SPs at 3.5 stars earlier in the year or at some point this season anyway, but now they're all 3.0s again. It seems like the game rates players by position with stars differently. I see a lot of players get 4 stars at 2b, and even if they're a better defender at 3b or SS, they'll be 3.5 or 3.0 stars at one of those positions. Dunno if this is a glitch or what... but I have all of the patches and shit, so it shouldn't be.
No idea why that is. I also seem to remember back in S3SL a lot of 4.0-4.5 SPs back in the day, maybe there still are... but I don't follow other teams as much and there aren't any on my A's, so I'm not sure.
