Damn Reyes.. .if I let him go I basically lose close to 140 SB's between him and Crawford... but he's asking a TON for a 2.5 star 2B/SS... I gotta still debate

Leday can probably replace a lot of those SBs, if he can be somewhat compotent. He's not Crawford, but I think he could hit .275-310 or better even and slap 40+ doubles and walk a lot...

As for Reyes, I see your dilema definitely. I think that's probably half of why OM just traded him. Reyes is very good at what he does, best in the league probably at singling and stealing bases/playing defense..... but for that much money is he worth it when you can probably find a player in the draft similar some years? Not swaying you either way here of course, just playing devils advocate.

    Verlander signed btw.

Hell.. Leday may not even make starting lineup... could be a career 9 contact bench player.. Warf is waiting in the wings as well

Unfortunately I really don't have a great 2B ready to play.. I have a possible SS with no speed, and neither Gourriel nor Encarnacion play 2B.. and I don't see myself spending like the Yankees in FA.. I could risk going after Reyes in the FA debacle, but that is not a guarantee to get him

Yeah, one thing I have found is if you really want a player back, don't risk letting him test FA waters...... either a) he won't like your org anyway, or b) someone will yank them up for something you never expected they would get, which was more than you could have resigned em for anyway probably :P

Too bad Crawford was sort of a major bust.... I thought he was gonna be really good honestly- especially after 2012. Brandon Crawford I mean. Know he plays SS, but I think he plays 2B too... could have stepped in for Reyes.

He took a ratings hit and never recovered.. there was a time he had 8 contact.. he's a bench player at best and may not have a place on my squad next season

I may look to make Potvin a 2B, if all else fails
