Letting contractual issues get in the way of fair deal. Bravo, TC.

    Something is better than nothing.
If you ever figured out the philosophy, you might have been a half way decent GM.

Oh, and what makes a half-way decent GM in your opinion? The geniuses in your top 10 list who are trying to catch my team in the division?

I don't know why it's that bad of a deal, all things considered.

Marcum and Cabrera are salary relief to make it work. X them out if you'd like I guess.

Walden and Vanwingerden were both 5.0 spects before they turned 26. Walden should be pretty good. Stevens has performed both as a starter and MR in limited time and has stats to back it up, even if it is limited. Givens is a wildcard, and Shafer and Preston Wilson have some untapped talent.

    It's not that bad.

    Why the sour grapes?

This deal is better than a compensation pick so it is advantageous to the Mets. The Braves are a lock for the NL East now.

A block was put up specifically for this superstar. You can read it if you like. If this was not enough for Harden, why didn't you offer a better deal?

No one offered a better deal! The TC did the right thing! Mark Teixeira is a great example of a half year rental in MLB. LAA gave up Kotchman, but not the slew of stud prospects that he would have brought if he were locked up for several years.

    1. The superstar was advertised and marketed.
    2. The League market value established itself.
    3. The superstar was traded for the best value offered.

If anyone is saying, DAMN I would have offered more than that... You should be beating yourself about the face and head... not the TC.
