Re: Worst trade ever made in a sim league?

My worst trade ever was a result of a talent loss. In S3SL, Ramon Crespo lost 2 talent points the sim after I called him up, and was generally underperforming, so I traded him for Gabriel Sala. Sala was part of my championship in that league, but Crespo not only gained those talent points back, he became the starter I wanted in the first place, all for a division rival.

oh yeah.. I'll finally admit, our Andersen (TSSL) deal was pretty brutal for me. I accomplished my objective in the long run (traded for Felix, made the playoffs consecutive years), but I lost 100000 time all star at this point probably, and had to make a ton of other stupid moves to compensate for it that same year (lost an eventual 5.0 MR to trade for another catcher too, forget his name though.. Owings or some shit)

Now though, that I realize I never won shit with that team during my playoff stretch with Cain/Lowry, trading Andersen sucked.

    S3SL:
I gave bwitty Florencio Preciado like a season ago, and while I like the CL and C I got in that deal, and my team is a lot better now, Preciado started to develop out of nowhere once he got off of my team and is now 10-10-10. Some other douchey pitcher who would never develop for me I traded to Zito for actual talent, and that guy took Zito to the playoffs and won a game in the NLCS or some shit too. Hence why I should just stick to making stupid deals with Hammer, and letting my undeveloped prospects rot in AAA.

No telling whether or not he would have been injured for me.

Meanwhile West died, Griffin's taking talent hits, and you keep remaining above .500.

My personal fave: Leo making a deal with the devil to sign Adam Dunn everywhere to big contracts, only for him to not hit .200

The asshole never batted below .200, nor had an OBP under .300 until I signed him in SBSL.

and there's no telling whether West (twice) and Griffin (3 times) would have been injured for him. Griffin is still perfectly useful if he reaches his talent at 9,9,8. Knipp could still lose talent since he's injured.

    Yeah, I know

    I'm just ranting.

    I still like Griffin, though.

Yeah and Crespo still underperformed for Arizona for many years considering the talent boosts. But a later deal with Houston helped the franchise a lot. Now to turn those 90 win seasons to playoff appearances is my next goal.
