Henderson just wasn't going to find my roster this year (barring some miraculous development before September 1st), and although I love some of his peripherals (nice GP%, great in the clutch, great at holding runners, etc..) since he lost stamina I've kind of soured on him. I also have a lot of other minor league pitching I hold in higher regard than him for spots on next year's team, and with all of that in mind, I don't think he was ever long for my roster.

Jermaine Dye's just a stopgap. I needed another guy who could give me some pop for real cheap to slide into the OF, especially with Cody Johnson just not getting it yet 90% of the time. But he's cheap, I have no long-term commitment, and I might even get a compensation pick if he keeps it up and then someone signs him him year... so I'll take my chances if this passes.
