I'm not out of contention... far from it, but I'd just like to see if anyone is willing to knock my socks off for Cain. Be warned... he just turned down 5 years 18 million per, so he isn't going to be cheap to retain.

a young(25 or younger) quality starter will have to be part of any deal, so I can put him in Cain's rotation spot.

I'm not surely dealing him... just curious to see what the market is for him if I wanted to.

Ok... send in your bids for Cain. He turned down my final offer of 22,500,000 over 4 years... sorry, but with Lincecum, Tanner and Zito... and Bumgarner pitching ok, I have better things to spend 22 million dollars on than one pitcher.

I need a young pitcher in return. If said young pitcher is signed cheaply over a long term, I may consider trading Cain for that pitcher with not much else additionally....

I am not opposed to trading him within the division, but will put a higher price tag on. I am still in contention at 6.5 games out. I am not giving him away... I'm trading him to contend.
