    San Diego of 2011

Should be a rough few years before we wake up and a go go.

    Starters:
    C: Mitch Canham, 7-8-6-5-6
    1B: Joel Guzman, 7-8-8-5-7
    2B: Ryan Freel, 8-7-3-7-8
    SS: Edgar Renteria, 8-8-4-7-8
    3B: Chase Headley, 9-8-7-6-7
    LF: Keith Morrison, 7-7-4-7-6
    CF: Reggie Willits, 8-7-4-8-7
    RF: Desmond Jennings, 7-7-2-5-7

    Bench:
    C Jake Fox, 8-6-4-4-6
    C Adam Moore, 7-7-7-4-5
    2B Jose Castillo, 7-8-5-6-7
    SS Ivan DeJesus, 8-7-3-6-4
    RF Chad Huffman, 8-8-3-7-5

No power but we should rack up doubles and triples with the amount of speed throughout the lineup and bench. A lot of stopgaps as guys like Place, Smith, Kaneie, Ramirez, etc. inch closer to the majors.

    Rotation:
    Ervin Santana, 9-7-8
    Wade Davis, 10-10-5
    Matt Walker, 8-7-8
    Ian Kennedy, 9-8-6
    Sean Burnett, 9-6-7

    Pen:
    Cesar Ramos, 7-8-6
    Ryan Ketchner, 8-7-6
    Jason Isringhausen, 9-4-8
    Cesar Carillo, 8-10-4
    Ramon Ramirez, 8-6-8
    Kevin Gregg, 8-7-8 - Setup
    Seth McClung, 10-7-8 - Closer

Pitching will be pretty awful. There's no ace in the rotation, the pen is not great, and my closer is a journeyman with a 100mph fastball. Should be, not, fun, at, all.

Expecting last, way too much goodness in the division as usual.

    LOL McClung is closing?!?!?!?

He couldn't even mopup the M's losses last season.

Place could be ready this season if he continues to develop.

Cause I'm loaded with options to use as closer. Want me to go with Matt Bush? I might use Isringhausen later so he can pad his career save total. I was considering Ian Kennedy but until Ramos develops a little more or I acquire pitching, well, this what... happens.

It's better than what Dry had (Joe Beimel).
