    Cin - SF

    Cin Trades:
    Chipper Jones, 3.0 3b/LF, 12 million
    4 million in cash

    SF Trades:
    Jonathan Sanhez, 1.5 MR, 300k
Albert Gomez, 4.5 MR spec MLC

He should be sending it soon.

Not thrilled about chipper's contract at all(I think I offered him 6 per for 2), but I can live with it and 4 million cash this year, and with Randy Winn coming off the books next, I will be fine financially. I do love that 10 eye and 9 power vs RHP though.... and do love that he puts kevin frandsen or bobby crosby on the bench...

Didn't Cincy just sign Chipper?...is it even legal to trade him?
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

technically... it isn't. But we've sort of ditched that rule recently, it hasn't been in effect for awhile. We'd have to revise it and stick to it honestly if we're going to use it, because it happens a lot...

edit: it just happened.... Ryan Freel. I know it's a little different because Chipper's making more money, but technically Freel is a 2 year contract and if the rules are how I remember, we can't veto it on that account, because we'll look like total hypocrites since if you signed a multi-year contract you can't be traded untl the all star break or some such by my rules I wrote when the first league started...

However, I really dislike this deal for CIN... SFN has to give more before I consider it honestly, and in the future, we need to impliment some rules for recently signed free agents and stick to them. If we pass this one, it's the last one we pass where a signed FA is traded before the first week of the season.

If I revise the rule for recently signed FA trade, which I will when this trade is out of the picture... I'm going to nix the 2-year contract or more June 1st trade thing, because it's too hard to remember and will lead to people calling us on things... and just keep it at no trading anyone signed for over 10 mil within the first year of their contract.

I'm almost happy he is stuck with that absurd contract... I didn't even know the rule for sure.

I suck. I'm sorry, I completely forgot about that shit. I had every intention to keep Freel until dam wanted him in our deal.
