We have the youngest team and we're 23rd in payroll with a lot of flexibility to make some moves. I addressed my major flaw from last season by bringing in Harang and Duke...hopefully, we'll start performing. I did trade a bunch of prospects, but my team is so young and I have the 8th pick in the draft to restock. I expect to contend for the AL West title this year. Thoughts?

I think I picked you to win the divison, but I also think a lot rides on the back end of your rotation... Harang and Duke should have nice years, and those were nice acquisitions, but Lester and Hirsh need to show their potential they have. Mainly Hirsh, who needs to turn in an ERA under 5.30... his ratings are far too good for hm to continue to pitch like he has. If he can fulfill potential, and even if Lester can play up to the standards he set for himself last year, you should compete for the division.

Pelfrey turned into a beast too... I dind't even notice that. He had a very solid year last year, and I'm guessing his ratings weren't that good the whole year. He should break out real nicely this year.

Pelfrey was like that last year. He and Lester did fine ERA and numbers-wise with the exception of walks. They need to get their walks down. Also, I think Pelfrey didn't get much run support. Duke and Harang will be fine and should get me more wins right there. Hirsh is the one who needs to get his act together, but I'm not depending on him...he's the #5 in a 5-man rotation starting the highest rested. The first four are the most important. My bullpen was solid last year so as long at the starting pitching improves, we'll be fine.

My offense was top 10 or so in runs scored and should be better. Gomez, Barton, and Parmelee should do better due to filling out (hopefully). Zimmerman will add more if he's healthy (he missed 8 weeks last year). I'm not really worried about the offense.

The bottom line is that I improved the 1 area that did shitty last year and LA didn't do much of anything this off-season (no offense). I expect a turn around and will be shocked if we don't...they better perform.

Can't believe you cut Jeremy Brown, the bad body catcher...who happens to own the Alabama record books. And Brant Colamarino! The best hitter in the 2002 draft according to DePo!

I think you'll finish second but it'll be close.

Darkhorse contender for it all. He has the pitching potential to best Anaheim.
