This trade was esentially Matsui and Ohlendorf for LaPorta and Jenkins and then we just started throwing around pieces...he has enough damn pitching prospects to give up Ohlendorf and LaPorta is a beast, he's not even that far away at age 22. Kielty and Jenkins isn't a terrible OF platoon either but I need a hitter desperately.

im gonna fail it... matsui is better than jenkins/kielty, ohlendorf and laporta are equally as good, and andy is much better than counsell. if you just wanted to swap ohlendorf for laporta, im with that... if you need to get matsui and the platoon in, throw in like a 4 star spect to the spankees.

I actually don't mind this much... the way i look at it.. laporta is the best player in the deal, after ohlendorf and matsui.

phillips and counsell are both bums, and phillips isnt even contributing on his team atm... keilty is having a decent enough year. jenkins ratings aren't bad and he hits RHP, which is all that matters I guess... I'll pass it, mainly because I'm so high on LaPorta. The only thing I'd make you do really is throw in a Tony Graffanino or something instead of Counsell, but who's to say he'd even want Graffanino or someone like him?
