    Re: col-oak

haren's a monster, completely developed and moderately paid for the next 4 seasons. it understandably takes a pretty big bounty to get him in a trade.

but i'm kind of on the fence about Colorado giving up too much... if Hirsh fully develops to his talent ratings(which shouldn't take too long), then you're looking at a 25 yr old SP making the vet minimum and having almost the same exact ratings as Haren.

with that said, seeing as Hirsh is not yet fully developed, the inclusion of Fowler is warranted. and honestly, Fowler is one of the less impressive 5.0 star prospects ive seen in awhile. if he fully develops, he'll be an above average 2-hole hitter. doesn't seem to have star potential. and the reliever, ford pinto or whatever... is pretty average, so i dont care about him

i'm gonna pass it, just cause Fowler and ford pinto aren't anything to call home about... but if Hirsh maxes out, its essentially a straight up Hirsh-for-Haren deal that would work out well for both teams

    Re: col-oak

    I agree with tim dawkins...

If Hirsh fills out a little more, it's almost a hirsh-haren swap all things down to it, since Hirsh is a little younger, but a little less talented... whereas Haren is older, more talented. Etc.

However, since he's not ready, the Fowler inclusion seems fair enough to me. At first glance, I honestly was going to decline this on grounds of Colorado giving up to much, and I'm still a little on the fence... but Pinto is mediocre, and Fowler isn't amazing. He's very raw, and more like a 4.5 spect. But he's still pretty good.

I'll pass it, all things boiled down.

2-0, one more in a row to pass, or 4 passes period and it goes through.

    Re: col-oak

I like Fowler He's got better ratings than Rasmus from St. Louis and I've seen him (Rasmus) fill out nicely and do well...

Actually, I did have a deal involving St. Louis for Haren...SP 5.0 Garcia, CF 4.0 Jay, and 4.0 MR Johnson. Hirsh is the same ratings-wise, but obviously closer to ready, Fowler is much better than Jay, and Pinto is close to Johnson. In order for him to part with both Garcia and Rasmus I was going to have to send a 4.0 spec, which is why I took this deal...it was essentially that deal (only slightly better IMHO) and I didn't have to give up anything else.

    Re: col-oak

Yeah, I like Fowler too. He's a good spect. I'm just saying, for a 5.0 spect, and Hirsh being a 4.5 spect who's close to Haren in ratings and younger, at first glimpse I thought it was a decline. But looking at it deeper Fowler isn't as good of a 5.0 spect as a lot of the others.

Fowler has the ability to do it all down the line when he's ready, but outfielders aren't a concern for me.

I only mentioned it because Mission said not to use the league/team tags related to sim stuff...never mind that it was the wrong team

actually, I think it says that when you have the option to put the tags

yeah, he really grates on my nerves sometimes... he doesn't really seem to get it. I'm nice to him most of the time, and he can be a nice guy, but he just doesn't get it. Out of everyone from the leagues, he might be the hardest person to deal with in all aspects. He's just impossible sometimes. More harm than good a lot of the time... he just starts trouble because he's a baby.

all of this just between us, though.

any thoughts on that deal though? I like Parm...I just wonder if I'm not getting enough...even though I save $11 mil (not that I need to cut salary).
