-- Maroth got the 1 year pact from Washington because it was the offer the featured the most money. It was only 1 year because he wouldn't sign a 2 year deal. Technically, because of this he could have signed with KC, but I felt like I wanted free agents in this stage to basically sign 1-year deals for the most amount they can garner. And Washington made the best offer, he just wanted one less year.
