    Todd Helton

Make offers via PM since I am away from home for the Holiday.

    Soriano went for 14 mil and has 7 9 9 5 5 ratings. He is 31.

Lee signed for 17 mil and has 7 9 10 6 7 ratings. He is 30 for 3 more months.

Helton is signed for 17.5 and has 9 9 8 10 6 ratings. He is 33 for 5 more months and will enter the final year of his contract at age 37 and will only be 38 in this contract for about 40 days of the regular season. Since the Age Modifiers are set properly in this league.... He should be a decent 1B... somewhere between a 2.5 and a 3.5. I have Albert Pujols in another league at 37 and he is a 3.0 who dropped from a 3.5 around the time he turned 37. HE is still batting .280 and has over 20 HR's and about 90 RBI's even though he hits in the 6th spot. SO, I said all that to say this... If Helton was only signed for another 3 years, I would offer ZERO financial assistance. Since he is signed into years that he will be declining... I will offer some financial assistance, either in cash or taking on salary in return. (Thome and Russ Ortiz are the only two poor bastards out there that I can think that I would not want anything to do with)

I may not trade Helton, but I will strongly consider it.

I also am willing to trade Barmes, L. Gonzalez, Hillenbrand, and specs.

Obviously, my desires are a Catcher, middle infielders, and pitching.

Yeah, I know, which is why I said "you suck" when you said you wouldn't consider Thome in a deal for Helton. I thought Helton MIGHT be one of the few contracts that I could take on to get rid of Thome's.

Helton has a huge contract, but he is worth it now and will be Thome's age when it expires. Thome is not worth his contract right now and will be collecting social security when it expires.

Right now I am leaning towards keeping Helton. I have one offer that I have strongly considered, but when it comes down to it, I am just not sure I need to give him up. If you are interested... now is the time to say so. I will probably keep him until the deadline at this point.
