They could still bounce back. If there's anything this league seems prevalent with is late bloomers/boosts. I got a couple good years out of Cruz when he died at 31 in the playoffs when I wasn't even playing. Borchering was a nice bench bat/platoon guy for me when he got screwed by OOTP.
Stupid OOTP knocks off some of Mei's control making him a barely useful 10-7-7 pitcher when he's not even playing.
I'm envoking my MSL rule and saving him.
had 5 prospects with 10 contact at the start of the season... now have 0... lost my fully developed C in offseason... so so so annoying
Playoff talent loss when I'm not even playing. My favorite.
Good season Trendy and Slyder. Good luck Kingdom and Shadow.
With all of the random talent loss this postseason, I'm thinking of giving everybody a one player fix.
Would it extend to anyone from the whole year?
Regardless of how the World Series plays out, I have informed Trendy the other day that I am going to be stepping down. I think ultimately I just want some time away from the league, just to renew my interests. Despite making a run to the World Series with the Cubs, which for me is one of my most favorite achievements considering how I've mirrored real life heart break in the past, this season has been super depressing. But it would not be fair to not be fully invested when the Cubs are one of the youngest teams in the league, in a very competitive division.
So this will be my temporary retirement at the conclusion of this season. It doesn't even matter if I lose, or get swept in the World Series. I vanquished my evilest foe in Arizona and outlasted my arch-nemesis in Minnesota. That's quite an accomplishment. And Hell of a way to go out. So, best of luck to Shadow's Oakland squad. And good luck to everyone else.
Wow. Not really sure what to say. It's weird to even imagine a sim league here without you, man. You've been at this shit since before I joined the first time. Are you sticking around in MSL, or dropping out of sims as a whole?
The Cubs managerial staff has lost talent...
Here's hoping you find your smile again, Kingdom, and good luck in the WS
I almost want to say give me the cubs so I can give Kingdom's team a gm to keep them warm while he's away.
Kingdom has been and probably will be my biggest rival (apologies to Slyder).
No apologies needed, you and Kingdom always seem to be in the same league where I bounce around. Hate to see you go KoZ but I understand everyone gets burned out at some point. Heck I left MSL because of time/burn out and came back a sim year later and got going again. I hope you find your smile and come back. I like competing with the best.
