In a purely heterosexual baseball way of course...
Eric Hinske went 2-for-3 and clubbed his fifth homer of the spring to help the Jays beat the Red Sox 5-3 on Saturday.
Hinske, who has been utilized mostly in right field this spring, played left today with Frank Catalanotto DHing, Shea Hillenbrand at third and Troy Glaus away from the team. Because the Jays have so many interchangable parts, it seems likely that both Hinske and Alex Rios will get plenty of playing time, even though they're battling for one starting job.
The Jays have quite a system here. My guess? It will frustrate fantasy owners to no end in deep leagues where Hinske and Rios are on the roster. Asshats.
