They might be curious about a rumble yesterday that had the Blue Jays interested in leftfielder Pat Burrell, though no contact has been made between the clubs. Burrell has a full no-trade clause in his contract.

The Jays had shown interest in Bobby Abreu earlier in the offseason, but his asking price was too high. During that same time frame, the Phillies indicated their interest in Jays veteran righthander Miguel Batista.
