    Halladay and McGowan

The Blue Jays have penciled in Roy Halladay as their starter for next Sunday's game against the Yankees.

An obviously good sign for the Jays. They are still in the race (barely), and if they have any hoping of running off a bunch of wins, they need a bonifide #1 like Roy Halladay every 5th day

Dustin McGowan was effective in his major league debut, allowing one run and two hits in five innings against the Rangers today.
McGowan struck out six and walked three in the 91-pitch outing. It's uncertain whether he'll get another start before returning to the minors

Cripes, I JUST saw this guy do pretty well in New Hampshire while on the job, and now he's in Toronto? That was fast, day-amn...

    Talk about rushing a kid.

Anyway, getting Halladay back up is key if they want to remain competitive (obviously.) That injury was such a damn shame considering how Halladay was looking like Mr. Cy Young again.
