    7/26 - 7/28 Jays vs Angels

    July 26th. Jays win 8-0

Very great game by the bluejays. The offense kept it rolling, 14 total hits by the jays, Hillenbrand (3-for-5) hit a 3 run homerun in the first inning.
The Jays had a big inning in the 4th inning scoring 4 runs, with Adams, Hillenbrand, Rios and the ODog having an rbi a piece in the inning. And in the 8th inning Vernon Wells caps it off with a solo shot hitting his 20th homer of the year.

For Pitching Chacin played a great game. He allowed 8 hits, 2 walks, struck out 2 batters and had "0" earned runs in 8 innings. Chacin is now 10-5 this year.

But the biggest news was Koskie's Return, first game back since May 19, he went 1-for-4 with a walk. Good to have him back.

Jays win in 18 innings, that was longer than I expected.

LOL.....that was longer than anyone expected...

That was a good series, even though my Angels lost. They just didn't have the offense. Your team did a great job. I was impressed. Why aren't you guys further ahead in the standings?
GO PADRES AND ANGELS ALL THE WAY IN 2008

The Jays fight back a lot and never say die, thats been the attitude the whole season

as for why the Jays are not further along the standing

    1. they don't play teams below .500 very well
    2. no real power in the middle of the lineup
    3. slow starts for important players at the start of the season (Ted Lilly, Vernon Wells, and Corey Koskie)
    4. not enough support for pitcher not named Roy Halladay
    5. not winning enough close games
    6. no big winning streaks, longest has been 4 wins all season
    7. "consistent at being inconsistent" Jamie Campbell, Jays play by play man on Sportsnet
    8. Bullpen is still young and shakey
    9. young team
