    Cardinals Edwin Jackson traded again. And soon to be..dealt..again.

    Blue Jays land Edwin Jackson and Mark Teahen, for Zach Stewart and Jason Frasor.


    They're expected to flip Jax for Colby Rasmus.

    Zach Stewart could be your #3 starter in a couple of years, so that kinda hurts. Jason Frasor has been here since forever, so that kinda hurts as well.

    But this was all a pre-cursor to acquiring a starting CF from the Cards.

    Yeah I can see that, 3rd is a spot that the Jays are loaded with talent. With Bautista there now, and Lawrie on the way.

    The ability of the Jays to take on a contract like this is something though. Take the 7 million owed to Mark in order to acquire Rasmus? Well not the best salary management you've got to be able to have room to play with.

    While we're at it the Cardinals can dish Edwin Jackson to the Padres. Then, since the Padres don't really need him, they can flip him to another contender for some prospects.

    Padres get more prospects and the Edwin Jackson train rolls on.

    Great trade for the Jays. They got a CFer of the future and some pieces they could move again by the deadline. They have no use for Teahen.
