Drabek sent down

Blue Jays optioned RHP Kyle Drabek to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Jays manager John Farrell told reporters this weekend that the struggling 23-year-old would not be sent down, but he must have changed his mind. Drabek was roughed up for eight earned runs on Sunday against the Red Sox and has an ugly 5.70 ERA this season despite a strong showing in the early going.

First it was Cecil and now Drabek. I guess it couldn't hurt for him to work on a few things at the minor league level. Zach Stewart was called up to replace him. I just hope Drabek acts like a professional and is mentally strong.

These last couple of outings have been rough on Kyle. The Boston debacle just cemented this.

Unfairly we also place a lot of pressure on him, for the fact that he was the center piece of the Halladay trade. I know that he won't be the same player at this moment, but some still can't fathom that.
