Blue Jays Rivera next to be traded?

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Blue Jays would like to trade Juan Rivera.
Rivera was acquired from the Rangers as part of the Vernon Wells deal last month, but much like Mike Napoli, he might not be long for Toronto. The 32-year-old outfielder doesn't fit in the team's long-term plans and Alex Anthopoulos would likely be thrilled to shed his $5.25 million salary. Rosenthal notes that a deal is unlikely to occur before spring training.
Wow! AA is really cutting the fat on this team. Rivera has some pop in his bat but he has lost a step defensively. If the Jays can get some pieces for him and salary relief, more power to them. I agree with Rosenthal in that a deal won't be done anytime soon. I can't see a fit with the Jays or any other team right now. Maybe the Dodgers?

Can't praise him for this unless he actually makes a trade first. Anybody can say they want to trade someone that doesn't fit their plans, but they have to do it for it to mean something.

Of course, since he managed to sucker the Angels into Vernon Wells it's hard to believe he couldn't do it.

He got rid of Napoli too. He also didn't fit into their plans. AA has been on a roll all offseason.

What's even an ideal suitor at this point? LA when they realize their platoon in the OF? The cubs because they need to do something stupid to fill the stupid move quota? Or perhaps, ummm. Atlanta if the depth and McLouth's scrambled brain scare them. Might be harder to deal him just because he isn't versatile. With Napoli, he could play a couple of positions (weakly) and was younger. Maybe play him, see if starts off well and then sell high

The Dodgers seem like the best fit.
