    Blue Jays Kyle Drabek's Debut

Jays top pitching prospect Kyle Drabek yielded three earned runs over six innings against the Orioles as part of a loss in his major league debut Wednesday.
Doug Drabek's son was the jewel of the blockbuster that sent Roy Halladay to Philadelphia. After posting a 2.94 ERA and 1.20 WHIP at Double-A New Hampshire this season, he predictably found the sledding rougher tonight. Drabek was tagged for nine hits while walking three and striking out five. The fireballer is expected to get two more starts down the, including an outing against the Mariners next time out.
I bet Jays fans were extremely excited to see this. Nothing like a quality start in your MLB debut. Looks like he has some explosive stuff from the highlights I've seen so far but will watch the game later tonight to see more of it. Drabek just ran into the red hot O's but all in all it was a good debut for the kid.

    Not a terrible outing for Drabek. 6 innings/3 earned/5 K's/3 walks.

Your future ace resembles a pre-pubescent Kyle Korver.

Solid first outing, it was the Orioles, but still a promising start. The future looks a little brighter with guys like him and Morrow heading up a Jays rotation.

True, but even with the likes of Jones, Scott, etc... there are better, more fearsome, lineups in the AL East in which he might have had to face, which isn't to say that the Orioles lineup right now isn't messing up some good pitchers either. Perhaps I was a bit glib.
