    Blue Jays Jays Claim Buchholz

Blue Jays claimed RHP Taylor Buchholz off waivers from the Rockies.
It's a bit surprising that the 28-year-old Buchholz made it through waivers and into Toronto's grasp. Sure, he posted an ugly 4.50 ERA and 9/6 K/BB ratio in 10 innings this year for the Rockies, but a few years ago he was regarded as one of the top young setup men in the game. The right-hander will look to turn things around in a new environment.
I think this is a pretty good pickup for the Jays. Some of their relievers might be trade bait this offseason so why not start to stock up? The Jays seem to be doing something right with their pitching so maybe Buchholz can benefit from being around all that talent.

Jays fans: No, we want Clay Buchholz, not Taylor Buchholz!

When I first read this I thought Clay, but then I was like no way are the Red Sox giving up him.

We turned Morrow into something "useful" this season, so I see it as a good sign.
Plus as you said reef, there could be a couple guys on the way out, so it will be nice to bring something into replace them this offseason.

Colorado used 10 innings to gauge Buchholz? What about the 150 innings or so before that, that were pretty solid?
