Thread: Halladay out for at least one month

Blue Jays Halladay out for at least one month

    Maybe I jinxed him...

Roy Halladay has a nondisplaced fracture in his left leg and is expected to miss at least a month.
The Blue Jays weren't being very nice here, as they say they knew about the break last night and decided not to reveal it until this afternoon. We're guessing David Bush will be called up next week to replace Halladay in the rotation.

Down in Kokomo, where we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow.

That's freaking rough! How badly will this hurt his Cy Young chances?

    Fantasy bummer.

Man this sucks. Why don't pitchers wear little plastic shin guards?

I sense some real struggles coming up for this team.

    I HATE losing Halladay!

Losing Halladay is an insanely massive blow. He was the clear Cy Young favorite this year on a team that has some shaky pitching (like, Ted Lilly when he isn't owning my BoSox), and I think if the Jays caught fire, they could make a run at the WC, or if it stayed this close, the AL East. I always like Halladay too...

They are still only what 6.5 Games back which isnt much. if they can just hold the fort down until he comes back. They could scare some people late down the stretch. Their offense can score runs if they want too. But it all comes down to Starting pitching outside of Halladay.

Worst case for the Jays, they fall out of the race and play an extremely nasty AL East spoiler to the Sox and Yankees.

Best case for the Jays, they surge hard.

Jays have been bad against the yankees this season, as long as they keep playing Boston they should be ok
