Thread: Roy Halladay for AL Cy Young?

Blue Jays Roy Halladay for AL Cy Young?

Whyever not? He's regained his 2003 Cy-Yougn-winning composure, has pitched very well and often. His main competition will probabaly come from Buehrle and Garland of Shee-ca-go and Johan Santana of Minnesota. I'll be rooting for Halladay to get it if he keeps his terrific pitching up.

By the way, his WHIP is a miniscule 0.94.

He didn't exactly deserve it the most in 2003, but it is Halladay's to lose this year. Bunch of innings and the highest quality SP work over those innings.

He still has a good chance at winning it despite the injury which will keep him out for a month. Jon Garland had a good start to the season but we all must of known it wouldn't last. Kenny Rogers is out of the picture with him getting back to his regular outings and that cameraman incident. Mark Buehrle will be his biggest obstacle to winning it and Barry Zito has turned the corner and might come out of nowhere to steal it from both pitchers.

only way Halladay stays in the race is to go on a tear as soon as he's off the DL and hope the others (Garland, Buehrle, and Rogers) cold off while Halladay on the DL

Zito, Clement, Bonderman, Santana, and Colon could also be a part of the race of the Cy Young
