    The world rejoices.
Finally, glad to see him go. Now lets get someone that cares about the game, and not about making himself look good.

The team gave up on him after the Halladay non-trade. I hope Gaston is retained though. He's a good baseball guy.

It's too bad it had to end like this. Management was sold into him as being the closest thing to Billy Beane in baseball.

How can you not resist hiring someone who makes the pitch "All of these guys on the roster can replaced by players who are younger, cheaper, and perhaps even better!"

Sources: Players don't want Cito back in '10 - Ken Rosenthal News - FOX Sports on MSN

The Blue Jays' rehiring of manager Cito Gaston last season started out as a feel-good story, a link to the franchise's back-to-back World Series titles in 1992 and '93.

A mere 15 months later, the mood inside the Jays' clubhouse has turned decidedly sour.

The players are fed up with Gaston and do not want him to return next season, according to multiple major-league sources.

"It's nearly a mutiny right now," one source says. "He has lost the entire team."
It never ceases to amaze me how MLB players always react to their managers like Goldilocks with The Three Bears' beds. "Ooo, this skipper is too hard. Ooo, this skipper is too soft. Wah wah wah!"
