Blue Jays The Power Of Doc

I was watching ESPN's First Take and something struck me as very interesting. When Roy Halladay pitches, Toronto's attendance is 32,000+. When he doesn't pitch, they get 18,000-. Halladay is truly a franchise player. Maybe they will start to take notice of Aaron Hill or Scott Rolen's resurgence.

Meh. Halladay pitched the home opener (season opener) which always attracts a sell-out crowd. He also pitched against the Yankees, who attract a huge crowd and that was also AJ Burnett's return.

Halladay started home games against Texas and Baltimore and they barely got 20,000 at those games.

    so very true DirtyKash

Yankees and Red Sox fans cover 30%-40% of that attendance most of the time

and the odd time where the Jays fans really packed in was when Halladay/Burnett were going at it

Still shows the power of Doc though. Last I checked they play more than one game series. Fans are showing up for his games, not the rest.
