Blue Jays Jays @ Angles 5/6-5/7

A quick 2 game series versus another beat up pitching staff in the Angels. The pitching match-ups are a bit unbalanced in this series making me believe a split could be in order.

Wednesday 5/6 has Halladay with a impressive 5-1 record and a 3.68 ERA vs. a pitcher with little experience Ortega , who has an 0-1 record with a 5.56 ERA.

Thursday 5/7 has the total opposite type of match-up with the Jays putting out on the hill young pitcher Ray who got a no decision in his first start and currently has a 4.76 ERA. Ray will be going up against the Angels much more experienced oitcher in Jer. Weaver who currently has a 2-1 record with a 3.13 ERA.

No reason why your Jays can't sweep this short series, except maybe the jet lag and travel fatigue. The Jays are playing as good as anyone in baseball right now, while the Angels are struggling below the .500 mark.

I hope so. I really hate these two game short series, especially when the team is on the road. I am a bit scared about the 2nd game, but if the bats are alive anything can happen. Also, Ray pitched pretty damn well in his 1st outing.

A killer top of the second gives Doc a 7 run lead to play with. And an 0 fer on the board fr the Angels. Looking good so far.
