Blue Jays-Tigers game postponed
Rescheduled to be played in Detroit on Sept. 10

DETROIT -- Thursday afternoon's Blue Jays game against the Tigers has been postponed due to poor weather conditions. Temperatures in Detroit dipped below freezing and the forecast called for snow. The contest was rescheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET on Sept. 10, when Toronto and Detroit previously shared an off-day. The only other season series between the clubs is a four-game set on April 12-15 in Toronto.
As a result of the postponement, the Jays had to shift the pitching rotation around. Left-hander Gustavo Chacin, who was scheduled to take the mound on Thursday, will start on Friday in the opener of a three-game road series against Tampa Bay. Right-handers Tomo Ohka and Roy Halladay will start against the Devil Rays on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
After the weekend set in Florida, Toronto will kick off its first homestand with a three-game series against Kansas City. Jays right-hander A.J. Burnett will start in the home opener on Monday, followed by righty Josh Towers on Tuesday and Chacin on Wednesday.
Damn.
