    Blue Jays Lugo eyes Jays

Los Angeles — Julio Lugo has a message for the Toronto Blue Jays: Call me."I heard they really tried to get me at the trade deadline, and I hope they come at me hard," Lugo, considered the best free-agent shortstop on the market this winter, said Saturday night only minutes after he and the rest of the Los Angeles Dodgers were eliminated from the National League Division Series.
"I've always liked that city [Toronto] and I like playing in that ballpark. I love that place."
So he should. Lugo is a career .376 hitter at the Rogers Centre, with six home runs and 15 runs batted in.

Hill-McDonald is a good middle infield combination. Jays should spend their money on pitching, not to get Lugo.

I like really Hill-McDonald but McDonald can't hit the ball at all, I would be happy signing Lugo to settle that position for once in years.

He does have the tangibles that I like, so I'll give me the passing mark.

I think this would be good for the Jays as well. He is a huge upgrade to what the Jays have now. Adams and McDonald are no Lugo and that is what it comes down to. I agree, the Jays could use another pitcher, but getting Lugo wouldn't hurt either.
