The battle for 2nd place in the division, something unknown to the Blue Jays in a long time, last time I remember the jays even this close to 2nd was way back in 1998.

Lets not forget the wrath of Ted Lilly, what type of wrath, who knows how he's been pitching lately, but he's always killer against Boston.

but for today it Halladay vs Wells, pssst, give us the win now, just forefit.

    per mlb.com
    Pitching matchup
TOR: RHP Roy Halladay (16-4, 3.12 ERA)
Halladay is 8-6 with a 4.46 ERA in 26 career outings versus the Red Sox.

BOS: LHP David Wells (2-3, 4.98 ERA)
Wells is 5-10 with a 5.82 ERA in 20 career starts against the Blue Jays.

    Player to watch
Toronto center fielder Vernon Wells has hit .433 (13-for-30) with two home runs, four doubles and five RBIs in his career against David Wells.

    Wakefield returns apparently.

Oh, and Johan Santana made a huge push for the Cy Young today. Halladay will have to match him.

thanks, I'll put that in for now.

Santana been doing that for sometime now. he hasn't lost since July 9th and should win today giving him, 7 wins in his last 9 starts.

oh Alex Rios , a fly ball hit by Alex Cora to RF by that corner, it hit the heel of Rios' glove and dropped out, Rios then tried to catch it with his bare hand but ended up hitting it over the fence with his hand for a homerun
